Whats the difference between a crash/ride cymbal and a ride cymbal?

whats the difference????
and does anyone know where i could find some cheap but good cymbals for my drum set?

ride cymbals have less of a tendency to break into that swoosh you get from crash. they are normally heavier and will ting with the tip of a stick and break into that wash with the side of the stick.

unfortunately, i’ve found that the words cheap and good usually don’t go together when you’re talking cymbals. that all depends on taste though. go to a music store and grab a stick and hit on a few. see what you like and get a price.
