How to make the recording of drums sound better?

i have recorded my friend on drums using a canon powershot IS something camera. he was in his room (not a studio, just a plain room) and i recorded it. i have put the file in my computer and the sound is coming a bit like its ‘blown-up’ .. or i can hear these “shhhr ssshhhhrr” sounds everytime he hits a loud beat. is there any way to get rid of this noise? i have adobe premiere pro CS4.. can that help? or any other software? thanks.

Its prolly cause u maxed out the mic on the camera because the drums were too loud for it.
